Day 01: Kathmandu to Dhap — Scenic Jeep Drive

The adventure begins early in the morning as you leave Kathmandu behind, embarking on a winding journey through Nepal’s captivating countryside. The road unfolds past lush forests, shimmering rice terraces, and quaint villages, each offering glimpses of rural life. As you approach Dhap Bazar, the landscape shifts from natural beauty to a bustling market town, alive with local energy and vibrant ambience.
Enjoy lunch during the drive, and savor a hearty dinner upon arrival. Your first night will be spent resting in Dhap, preparing for the trek ahead.
Day 02: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre — Entering the Himalayas
Duration: 5–6 hours walking
Elevation: 2,830 meters
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today marks the first day on foot and the actual walk. The trail leads through emerging mountain paths, initially muddy as construction continues, gradually revealing stunning vistas of the Numbur Himalayan range. As you climb higher, the peaceful village of Jhapre awaits, perched dramatically on a ridge overlooking deep valleys and crowned by views of Mount Everest itself.
Enjoy your dinner and soak in the serene atmosphere as you settle in for the night.
Day 03: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp
Duration: 5–6 hours walking
Elevation: 3,640 meters
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
The path ascends steadily to grassy ridges at Bhulbhule, granting expansive views of Everest’s towering peaks. You will pass ancient Mani stone walls and traditional yak herders’ shelters, then walk through dense forests of blooming rhododendrons if trekking in spring—painting the landscape in vivid reds and pinks. After a few hours of walking, you will reach the tranquil Pikey Peak Base Camp, nestled high in the mountains.
Spend the evening resting and soaking in a breathtaking natural setting.
Day 04: Sunrise at Pikey Peak Viewpoint & Trek to Jasmane Bhanjyang
Duration: 6–7 hours walking
Elevation: Viewpoint at 4,065 meters
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This day is the crown jewel of the trek. Rising before dawn, you will hike to the summit of Pikey Peak just in time to witness the sun’s first light illuminating the Himalayan giants. From this vantage, Nepal’s highest mountains — Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Annapurna, Manaslu, Kanchenjunga, and Dhaulagiri — stretch endlessly, creating a panorama that will forever be etched in your memory.
After satisfying our eyes and camera, we will descend back to Base Camp for breakfast. And you will continue trekking to Jasmane Bhanjyang, where you will enjoy a peaceful evening.
Day 05: Trek from Jasmane Bhanjyang to Junbesi
Duration: 5–6 hours walking
Elevation: 2,700m
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
The trail winds through serene meadows and shaded forests, finally joining a wider gravel road leading to Junbesi village. This charming village is home to a rich mix of Sherpa, Magar, and Tamang communities, each contributing to the vibrant local culture. We will take time to visit the renowned Thupten Chyoling Monastery, a popular monastery in the region.
Our overnight stay will be at Junbesi village.
Day 06: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu
Duration: 5–6 hours walking
Elevation: 2,475 meters
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today’s route follows the gentle descent alongside Junbesi Khola, crossing a dramatic steel suspension bridge into Benighat. The trail continues through rolling hills and picturesque villages before reaching Phaplu. Phaplu is a lively Sherpa village known for its rich traditions and cultural heritage.
It’s the final village we will be staying in on the Pikey Peak trek.
Day 07: Return Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu
Duration: 8–9 hours by jeep
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
On the final day, embark on the drive back to Kathmandu, tracing the steep hills of the Solukhumbu region and winding along the banks of the Sunkoshi River. The road follows the busy B.P. Highway, reconnecting us with the capital city’s vibrant energy. Upon arrival, your guide will escort you to your hotel, where you can rest and celebrate the successful completion of this unforgettable trek.
Congratulations! You have experienced one of Nepal’s most breathtaking mountain journeys, immersing yourself in nature, culture, and Himalayan grandeur.

What to pack in your bag?
If you are planning your trip to a Himalayan country, you should consider packing some warm clothes. In mountain weather keeps changing, we can find different weather on the same day. Weather in the mountains tends to be windy to sunny, to wet, so we have listed a few things as a checklist for you.
For head:
- hat or p-cap to prevent the face from sunburn
- woolen cap to keep warm
- scarf or muffler
- The face mask is a precaution that protects your nose from heavy winds
- sunglasses to protect the eyes and to see better inthe mountains
For feet and hands
- warm gloves
- Sandal and sneakers
- Thin cotton socks and thick woolen socks
Trekking special items
- sticks (which you can hire at Thamel, Kathmandu, as well)
- Waterproof thin jacket
- Windproof down jacket
- Stretchable and warm trousers

Food during the trek
Any kind of food is available during the trek. Guesthouses have a menu that consists of both international cuisine and local Nepali cuisine. You can also try a new cuisine that you haven’t tried before. Here are a few breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that are commonly found during the trek.
Breakfast
We can have a wide range of options for breakfast such as omelets, bread, cornflakes, cookies, oats, pancakes, milk, tea, coffee, hot lemon, boiled or fried beans, etc. somewhere you get traditional breakfast items such as Gurung bread (famous breakfast in Annapurna region), cell roti, puri, roti curry, etc.
Lunch and Dinner
Traditional Nepali lunch and dinner is Nepali khana, consisting of Lentil soup, Rice, curry, pickle, and some salad. There is a famous saying around trekking areas, “Dal Bhat power twenty-four hours,” which means Nepali khana’s strength remains for twenty-four hours. For instance, other than Nepali khana, you can have varieties for lunch like: pizza, momo, chowmein, fried rice, noodles, spaghetti, soups, naan roti, etc. The lunch and dinner menus look similar; you can choose as per your comfort and preference.
